Phillips posted another outstanding campaign during her sophomore season with the Lady Broncs as she found her name in both the UTPA single-season and career record books... recorded 370 kills during the 2006 campaign, which ranked her seventh among all NCAA Division I Independent players, and were the 10th-most kills in single-season history... attempted the second-most attacks in single-season history with 1,290 and ranked first in the single-season record books with an 11.94 attacks per game average... ranked first in the career record books in attacks per game (11.45), second in kills per game (3.35), fifth in total attacks (2,474) and 10th in kills (723) and hitting percentage (.142)... ranked first on the Lady Broncs in total attacks and attacks per game, second in kills and kills per game and fourth in total blocks (25.0), service aces (22), digs (293) and assists (22)... recorded 25 matches of 10 or more kills and collected 14 double-doubles this past season... recorded a career-high 21 digs against High Point (Sept. 9) at the University of Portland Invitational... posted one of her best all-around matches of the season against Cornell (Sept. 8) with a 15-kill, 18-dig performance... selected to the Molten Invitational All-Tournament Team hosted by the University of Nevada after leading the Lady Broncs in a pair of matches... collected 18 kills and 17 digs against IPFW (Nov. 10) at the National Independent Tournament... notched 18 kills and 10 digs in a five-set match against The University of Texas at San Antonio (Oct. 10)... recorded 16 kills and 15 digs against Texas State (Sept. 1) in the first match of the UTPA Women's Volleyball Invitational... recorded at least 12 kills in the final five matches of the season... recorded a season-high 21 kills to go along with a .365 hitting percentage and 10 digs in the season-finale victory against Providence (Nov. 11) at the National Independent Tournament... recorded 15 kills against Independent-foe South Dakota State (Oct. 20) followed by a 16-kill performance the following evening versus North Dakota State (Oct. 21)... selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during both the fall and spring semesters... cited as a UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll recipient for the second straight season.

2005 [Freshman Season]
In her rookie season, Phillips garnered second team All-Independent honors en route to posting one of the best all-around seasons in program history... finished with a team-high 353 kills, which ranked her 10th in the UTPA single-season record books and 10th among all NCAA Division I Independent players... attempted 1,184 attacks on the season, ranking her fourth in the single-season record books and fourth among all Independent players... recorded her name in the UTPA freshman record books, ranking first in total attacks and second in kills... finished first on the team in kills, kills per game (3.27), total attacks, second in service aces (32) and third in digs (272), digs per game (2.52) and assists (29)... posted the fifth most kills in a match against Texas A&M-International (Nov. 5) with 29 while adding 11 digs en route to earning Independent Offensive Player of the Week... awarded with Independent Newcomer of the Week honor on five occasions, including a string of three consecutive weeks... recorded 10 or more kills on 19 occasions and 20 or more kills four times... notched 23 kills and eight digs at the Independent National Tournament against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Nov. 11)... collected 11 double-doubles during the season, including a string of six consecutive matches... collected 18 kills and 16 digs against TCU (Oct. 22) at the UTPA Fieldhouse... posted one of her best all-around matches against North Dakota State (Oct. 20) with a 20-kill, 19-dig performance... collected 22 kills and seven digs on the road at Utah Valley State (Oct. 8)... named to the UTA Volleyball Invitational All-Tournament Team hosted by University of Texas-Arlington after posting two matches of 10 or more kills... added 17 kills and eight digs against University of Texas-Arlington (Sept. 10)... collected 15 matches of 10 or more digs during the season... earned Dean's List Second Honors in her first semester... named to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club.

Phillips was a standout outside hitter for Corona del Sol High School where she was a two-year letterwinner for the Aztecs... was a first team 5A All-City and all-region selection in her final two seasons... earned honorable mention all-state laurels as a junior... was a two-time AIA Scholar-Athlete... selected as a team captain in her final senior... earned all-tournament honors at the Westwood Tournament... was a member of an Aztecs' squad that captured a pair of 5A Central Region titles... participated with the Arizona Foothills and Club Red teams during her prep career.

Phillips is the daughter or Randy and Gladys Phillips... born on July 20, 1987... has two brothers - Brandon and Mike... brother (Brandon) played football at the University of Arizona... majoring in marketing.
