The University of Texas-Pan American men and women's track and field program will head to Austin for a third time this season for the Texas Twilight this Saturday, April 19 hosted by The University of Texas at Austin.
With a solid performance last week at the Javelina Invitational, the Broncs look to continue with their successes at the Texas Twilight.
"I definitely think we'll do great this week. Its better competition and a faster track; it will bring out the best in these athletes," said head men and women's track and field coach Dennis Darling.
With three meets left in the schedule for regionals, just about anyone can qualify.
"At this point, anyone can qualify for regionals. We have Vanessa Brown the closest and Jameson (Strachan) right behind. Michelle Elizondo is another who can qualify at any point. She's been throwing pretty well in practice and if she puts it all together and has a good day it can happen," added Darling.
The Texas Twilight will be held at the Mike A. Myers Stadium and will be an all-day event with field events beginning at 2:00 p.m. and running events at 4:30 p.m.
