Undefeated at home, is what The University of Texas-Pan American women's tennis team is looking to do as they have three home matches remaining on the 2007-08 campaign.
The Lady Broncs are 5-0 in the confines of the Orville Cox Tennis Center and are on a four game winning streak.
The women are coming off a huge 5-2 victory over Western Athletic Conference-opponent New Mexico State on (Mar. 22) where they improved to 13-6 on the season. Three Lady Broncs recorded wins in both singles' and doubles' matches in Luisa Cantu, Stephanie Willerding and Julia Cirne-Lima.
Senior captain, Silke Buksik collected her eighth straight win as she posted a 6-3, ret. victory over Aleksa Costa in the number-five position of the lineup. Buksik has recorded 15 victories in her last 16 matches this season.
The Cowgirls are 5-7 on the season and are coming off a 7-0 setback over nationally-ranked Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.
The Lady Broncs will match-up against Southland Conference-foe McNeese State on Wednesday (Mar. 26) at the Orville Cox Tennis Center at 2:30 p.m. Following McNeese State, the Lady Broncs will face-off against nationally-ranked Lamar University and University of Texas at Arlington.
