2006-07 [Freshman Season]
The UTPA freshman finished her freshman season with the Lady Broncs with a 2-4 record in singles' action and a 3-3 record in doubles' competition... recorded a third-place finish at the Stephen F. Austin Invitational with teammate Silke Buksik in doubles' competition as the UTPA tandem defeated teams from Stephen F. Austin and University of Central Arkansas... notched her lone victory of the 2007 spring season against Kim Patterson of McMurry University by scores of 6-0 and 6-1 in the number-six position of the lineup... notched a victory with teammate Nicole Garcia against Jamie Doby and Kim Patterson of McMurry University by an 8-2 count in the number-three position of the lineup... selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the first time in her career... named to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during both the fall and spring semester.

Trafalgar High School
Burton was the number-one seed at the 2005 National Under-18 Tournament where she advanced to the championship match... was ranked in the top-25 of the Provincial Under-18 class... captured the 2005 Western Ontario Head Bowl Circuit title... advanced to the semifinals of the Toronto MegaCity Tennis Championships as the second seed in the tournament and reached the semifinals of the 2005 Davisville Junior Open... was a member of the Oakville Academy of Tennis, Lakeshore League and Wallace Park and Bronte Tennis Club...earned honorable mention Academic Honors while at Oakville Trafalgar High School.

Burton is the daughter of Stephen and Lee Carol Burton... was born on May 15, 1987... has two sisters - Lana and Cory... sister - Lana - is a member of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis team... majoring in marketing... chose UTPA over Texas State.
