Haime to Represent UTPA at 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference

May 9, 2006

UTPA junior Natalie Haime (Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada/Perth and District Collegiate Institute) will represent The University of Texas-Pan American at the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference to be held at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, FL, on May 28th through June 1st.

"Natalie's interests are so diverse that she is a testament to the true student-athlete," said head women's golf coach Barb Odale. "She's done a lot of things at UTPA from serving as Bucky the Bronc, playing collegiate golf, singing the national anthem at home events, being a member of the AD Club and going to this leadership conference. Natalie is a natural born leader."

Haime was one of four UTPA student-athletes nominated for the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference and was chosen by the Selection Committee, who had a total of 1,319 nominations from 333 institutions.

The Lady Broncs' golfer participated in three tournaments this season where she posted a 94.2 average, recording a low-round of 85 at the UTSA Rowdy Round-Up. Haime has excelled in the classroom during her tenure at UTPA where she posted Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors for the fifth consecutive semester during the fall of 2005.
