The University of Texas-Pan American Lady Broncs golf team is currently riding in ninth place out of 16 teams at the Gainesville Shootout III in Gainesville, FL.

Leading the way in 27th place is senior captain Elizabeth Rodriguez with a one round score of 78 (41-37) while Mariale Camey (Cuidad, Guatemala/University of New Orleans) recorded a one-round tally of 79 (37-42) for 28th place.

Newcomer Haley Hocott (San Antonio, TX/MacArthur H.S.) finished in 31st place with a one-round tally of 79 (41-38) while Jennifer Marks (El Paso, TX/McLennan C.C.) shot a 79 (41-38) which placed her 33rd place.

In 77th place is Rebecca De Leon (Mission, TX/Veterans Memorial H.S.) as she finished with a one-round score of 92 (46-46).

After one round the Lady Broncs finished with a team score of 315 while Texas State (301), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (308), Illinois State (308), Michigan (309) and University of Illinois (309) rounded off the top five.

The Lady Broncs will resume golf action tomorrow morning with a shot gun start at 8:45 at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
