The UTPA junior earned Academic All-Independent laurels for the first time in her career... appeared in all five tournaments during the spring season for the Lady Broncs... notched her best finish of the season at the National Minority College Golf Championships where she recorded a 54-hole score of 248 en route to finishing 10th overall... recorded a 37th-place showing at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial with a two-round score of 166... selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the second time in her career... earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club accolades for the fourth consecutive semester.
Fall 2006
Sandberg appeared in two tournaments during the fall season... notched her best finish of the season at the UNT Lady Eagle Invitational where she recorded a 41st-place showing after a three-round score of 260... finished 68th overall at the ORU Shootout with a 54-hole tally of 254, including a season-best 79 in the second round of competition... named to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club for the third time in her career.
Spring 2006
The UTPA freshman recorded her best finish of the season at the National Minority College Golf Championships where she finished 10th overall... recorded a three-round tally of 264 at that tournament... finished 36th overall at the National Independent Women's Golf Championships with a 54-hole score of 277... tied for 48th overall at the CenturyTel/Bobcat Classic... appeared in all five tournaments during the spring season as the squad's number-four golfer... selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club for the second time in her career.
Fall 2005
Sandberg recorded her best finish of the fall season at the Bronc Classic where she finished with a three-round total of 240, including a career-best 76 in the third round of competition, en route to finishing 25th overall... tied for 48th overall in her collegiate debut with the Lady Broncs at the North Texas Women's Classic where she posted a tournament total of 251... tied for 52nd overall at the ORU Shootout with a 54-hole total of 246... ranked fourth on the squad with an 81.8 strokes average... appeared in all four tournaments for the Lady Broncs during the fall season... cited as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member for the first time in her career.

A product of Bellerose Composite High School, Sandberg was twice named Most Valuable Player on the golf team... captured the Coaches' Award following the 2003 season... won the City Championship three times during her prep career... guided her team to a pair of City Championships in 2003 and 2004... earned four letters in golf during her career... competed with the Edmonton Tsunami Water Polo Club for five years... participated with the Royal Conservatory playing the piano as a sophomore.
