Winfrey concluded her sophomore season with the Lady Broncs by appearing in 27 games where she earned a spot in the starting rotation on four occasions... ranked first on the Lady Broncs in free throw percentage (.750), third in three-point field goals made (19), three-point field goal attempts (69) and fifth in field goal attempts (137) and assists (24)... scored a career-high 20 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-6 from behind the three-point arc and 7-of-9 at the charity stripe, to go along with a career-high four assists, four rebounds and three steals at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus IPFW (Feb. 24)... collected 11 points and three assists against Sun Belt Conference-opponent Louisiana at Lafayette (Nov. 18)... notched 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting versus New Jersey Institute of Technology (Feb. 3)... scored eight points to go along with a season-high six rebounds in the season finale at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus Utah Valley State (Mar. 3)... collected nine points and four rebounds on the road at North Dakota State (Feb. 17)... scored nine points to go along with two rebounds and two assists at the Air Force Academy Tournament against Western Michigan (Dec. 1)... scored eight points and three rebounds in the season opener at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus Texas A&M-International (Nov. 14)... collected eight points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals on the road at McNeese State (Dec. 18)... concluded her sophomore season by averaging 4.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.7 steals per game.

2005-06 [Freshman Season]
The UTPA freshman put together a stellar rookie campaign with the Lady Broncs as she was selected to the All-Independent Newcomer Team... ranked first on the squad in free throws made and free throw percentage and third in free throw attempts... ranked sixth among all NCAA Division I Independent players in free throw percentage after connecting on 80.8 percent of her attempts... finished third on the squad in field goal attempts, three-point field goals made, three-point field goal attempts, points and scoring average and fourth in minutes played, field goals made and steals... captured back-to-back NCAA Division I Independent Newcomer of the Week laurels on Dec. 6th and 13th in her first season... scored a career-high 18 points on two occasions against North Texas (Dec. 8) and Schreiner (Dec. 20)... nearly missed her first career double-double (points-rebounds) with a 15-point, nine-rebound performance against the University of Houston (Dec. 3)... scored 16 points and added three rebounds on the road at Texas State (Dec. 10)... finished with 15 points, two rebounds, two steals and two assists on the road at Utah Valley State (Jan. 17)... posted nine games of 10 or more points, including a 12-point contest against Kansas State (Dec. 2) and a trio of 11-point games versus Texas A&M-International (Dec. 20), Huston-Tillotson (Feb. 15) and Oregon State (Feb. 27)... grabbed four or more rebounds on eight occasions, including seven caroms at Arkansas (Dec. 18)... notched six games of 10 or more field goal attempts with a career-high 24 attempts against Schreiner (Dec. 20)... was nominated for UTPA Female Newcomer of the Year... appeared in all 28 games for the Lady Broncs while recording a pair of starts.

High School
Winfrey was named Most Valuable Player at Eisenhower High School during her junior and senior seasons... garnered Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman... was named to six all-tournament teams during her prep career, including three times at the Conroe Tournament, twice at the Aldine Tournament and once at the Klein Tournament... averaged 10.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in her senior campaign... earned 10 letters during her high school career - four in basketball and track and field and three in volleyball... was a member of the Cy-Fair Blazers during the AAU league.

Winfrey is the daughter of Nivette Winfrey... was born on Jan. 1, 1987... majoring in criminal justice... chose UTPA over Howard, Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin State.
