2006-07 [Junior Season]
In her first season with the Lady Broncs, Vaughn made an immediate impact on the lineup as the UTPA shooting guard was selected to both the All-Independent Newcomer Team and All-United Basketball League Newcomer Team... became the first UTPA player in program history to earn Independent Player of the Week honors when she achieved that milestone following a 22-point, four-rebounds, three-steal and two-assist performance in the season opener against Centenary (Nov. 11)... earned Independent Newcomer of the Week honors on one occasion after earning Battle at the Border All-Tournament Team laurels... ranked second on the Lady Broncs in field goals made (101), field goal attempts (261), three-point field goals made (37), three-point field goal attempts (110), total points (271) and scoring average (9.7)... listed third on the team in assists (47), steals (37), blocked shots (14) and fifth in free throws made (32), free throw attempts (43), total rebounds (90) and rebounding average (3.2)... scored 19 points to go along with five rebounds, three steals, two assists and one blocked shot on the road at New Jersey Institute of Technology (Feb. 3)... collected 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 6-of-6 from the free throw line, to go along with a career-high four steals, three rebounds and two assists at the UTPA Fieldhouse against Huston-Tillotson (Dec. 12)... recorded 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go along with a career-high seven rebounds at the Air Force Academy Tournament against Western Michigan (Dec. 1)... notched 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-4 from behind the three-point arc, to go along with three assists, two steals and two blocked shots against McNeese State (Dec. 18)... finished with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-3 from behind the three-point line, while adding five rebounds and four assists at the Battle at the Border Tournament against Texas State (Dec. 28)... collected 16 points, including a career-high four three-pointers, to go along with four rebounds and two assists on the road at North Dakota State (Feb. 17)... scored 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting, to go along with a career-high six assists, three steals and three rebounds in the Lady Broncs' home opener against Texas A&M-International (Nov. 14)... collected 12 games of 10 or more points in her first season with the Lady Broncs... appeared in 28 games for the Lady Broncs, earning the a spot in the starting rotation on 26 occasions, en route to finishing the season averaging 9.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocked shots per game.

Blinn College
Vaughn earned a great deal of success during her two seasons with Blinn College... selected as an All-Region XIV Athletic Conference and All-Region XIV performer during her sophomore season with the Buccaneers... averaged 8.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from behind the three-point line during this past season... averaged 11.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 37.3 percent on three-point field goal attempts in conference action... was part of a Blinn College program that tied a program record with 24 wins during the 2005-06 season while finishing as runner-ups in the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament, which was the Buccaneers' best finish since the 1990-91 season... was a junior college teammate of current UTPA student-athlete La'Shae Woodard.

High School
A native of Houston, TX, Vaughn attended J. Frank Dobie High School where she was a high school teammate of former UTPA student-athlete Stacey Gooden... garnered All-State, All-Region and All-District honors while leading her prep program to the Texas State Championship Tournament during her final season... was a two-time All-District performer... was a four-year lettermen in basketball at J. Frank Dobie High School.

Off the Hardwood
Vaughn is the daughter of Richard Simon and Tammy Bell Simon... was born on Feb. 23, 1986... has one brother - Dominique - and one sister - Kwanza... chose UTPA over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and The University of Texas at San Antonio.
