2004-05 [Freshman Season]
In her freshman season, Pierce made an immediate impact on the Lady Broncs' lineup en route to helping the team to a record-breaking season... capped off the season by being named UTPA Newcomer of the Year... earned honorable mention All-Independent team honors as well as receiving a spot on the All-Independent Newcomer team... was named Independent Newcomer of the Week on three occasions... garnered her first Independent Newcomer of the Week selection on Dec. 11th following a 21-point, four-rebound and two-block performance at Wyoming (Dec. 6)... named Independent Newcomer of the Week on Jan. 13th after she scored 20 points on 8-14 shooting along with seven rebounds versus Prairie View A&M (Jan. 11)... recorded her third Independent Newcomer of the Week selection on Jan. 21st after she scored a career-high 22 points on 8-11 shooting, including 6-8 from the charity stripe, and grabbed 10 rebounds versus Huston - Tillotson (Jan. 19)... notched a pair of double-doubles (points-rebounds) during the season... scored 13 points and grabbed 10 boards versus Prairie View A&M (Feb. 9)... recorded 13 games in double figures, including four games scoring more than 20 points... collected a 21-point, nine-rebound performance versus Savannah State (Jan. 30)... collected 18 points on 9-15 shooting along with six rebounds and three steals versus Texas - Permian Basin (Dec. 16) and 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on the road at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Feb. 15)... ranked first on the team in field goals made, field goal percentage, points and scoring average... finished second in field goal attempts, free throws made, free throw attempts, rebounds, rebounding average and third in blocked shots... ranked 10th among all NCAA Division I Independent players in field goal percentage, hitting 46.2 percent of all of her shots... appeared in 27 games as a rookie, including five starts.
High School
Pierce was the Most Valuable Player of the 5A State Tournament for Westfield High School... cited as a first team All-Texas selection during her senior season... named a 15-5A All-District selection during her junior and senior seasons... ranked first on her prep squad in field goal percentage and free throw percentage... participated in the Adidas Space City Classic... was a member of a prep squad that captured the Texas State Championship during her senior season, finishing with a 36-4 record... captured four consecutive district championships... finished runner-up in the state tournament as a freshman... guided Westfield to a Final Four appearance as a sophomore... led her prep squad to three all-area championships... won two letters in her prep career... cited as an all-tournament team member at the AAU National 17-Under Tournament in Orlando, FL... played for the AAU Lady Raiders as a junior and Houston Lady Colts during her senior year... led both teams in field goal percentage and free throw percentage.

Pierce is the daughter of Carolyn Pierce... was born on Mar. 15, 1986... majoring engineering and music... chose UTPA over Kansas State, Arizona, Tulane, North Texas and SMU.
