2006-07 [Sophomore Season]
The UTPA sophomore saw action in 16 games during her second season with the Lady Broncs where she started her first collegiate game against Huston-Tillotson (Dec. 12)... posted a season-high three points on 1-of-1 shooting from behind the three-point line against McNeese State (Dec. 18)... posted a career-high of five rebounds and two steals at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus Huston-Tillotson... blocked her first collegiate shot on the road at Louisiana-Lafayette (Dec. 20)... concluded the season by averaging 0.5 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 steals per game.
2005-06 [Freshman Season]
Kostacky saw limited action for the Lady Broncs during her rookie campaign as she appeared in 21 games... recorded a career-high six points on 3-5 shooting at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus Northern Colorado (Feb. 8)... scored four points and tallied three rebounds on the road against Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 25)... grabbed a career-high four rebounds on the road at North Texas (Dec. 8)... saw action in 10 or more minutes in four games during the season, including a career-high 16 minutes against Northern Colorado (Feb. 8)... competed in 14 minutes against North Texas (Dec. 8) and 12 minutes on a pair of occasions versus Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 25) and Huston-Tillotson (Feb. 15)... connected on 39.3 percent of her shots from the floor as a freshman... ended the season averaging 1.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per game... earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors during the fall semester for the first time in her career.
High School
While at Clearwater High School, Kostacky helped her team reach the Florida Class 5A Final Four on three occasions, finishing runner-ups twice... was part of a high school team that was ranked number one in the State of Florida... earned honorable mention all-state honors in her final campaign... was a second team All-Sun Coast Conference and all-county performer on the hardwood... led her high school team in shooting percentage and blocked shots, second in rebounding and third in scoring... averaged 10.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game... was named Most Valuable Player for the 17-under Pan National Championship Team in 2003... earned five letters during her prep career - four in basketball and one in track and field... competed in the discus, high jump, 800-meters and 4x800 relay in track and field... was a member of the National Honor Society, finishing with a 4.12 grade point average... was a member of the Crest Club.
Off the Hardwood
Kostacky is the daughter of Todd and Susan Kostacky... has one brother - Michael - and one sister - Amanda... was born on Feb. 14, 1987... majoring in biology... chose UTPA over Florida International, Gardner-Webb and Birmingham-Southern.
