2005-06 [Freshman Season]
In her freshman campaign with the Lady Broncs, Jones appeared in 27 games while making 11 starts at the point guard position... scored a career-high 13 points on 4-6 shooting from the floor, including a career-high 5-7 at the charity stripe, at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus Schreiner (Dec. 20)... scored nine points on two occasions against Wichita State (Jan. 31) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 27)... scored six points and dished out four assists on the road at Northern Arizona (Jan. 6)... posted a career-high seven rebounds at IPFW (Feb. 18)... notched six games of five or more rebounds during her rookie season, including a six-rebound performance against Arkansas (Dec. 18)... dished out a career-high four assists on three occasions, including Huston-Tillotson (Feb. 15) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 27)... recorded a career-high four steals on three occasions against Schreiner (Dec. 20), Texas State (Dec. 29) and Huston-Tillotson (Feb. 15)... posted her first collegiate block against Texas State (Dec. 29) at the IBC Battle at the Border Classic held at the UTPA Fieldhouse... played 20 minutes or more in five contests, including a career-high 26 minutes on a pair of occasions against Huston-Tillotson (Feb. 15) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 27)... finished the season averaging 2.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

Jones comes to UTPA after running the point position at Little Rock Central High School for four seasons... selected as a McDonald's High School All-American nominee following her senior season... averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game during her senior campaign... was a three-time all-state and all-conference selection... earned 12 letters during her prep career - four in basketball, four in volleyball, two in track and field and two in softball... was an all-conference performer in volleyball as well as softball... was a National Achievement Semi-Finalist... garnered Venture Scholar Honors along with National Honor Society laurels... was a Who's Who Among American High School Students.

Jones is the daughter of Ray and Lisa Jones... has two brothers - Ray Jr. and Brian... was born on Jan. 7, 1987... majoring in finance... chose UTPA over Arkansas Tech and John Brown University.
