2004-05 [Junior Season]
In her junior season, Gooden was one of three players to see action in all 28 games, starting on three occasions... posted a career-high 16 points against Texas A&M - International (Nov. 23) on 5-8 shooting, including 6-8 from the charity stripe... also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 27 minutes of action in that game... collected three games of 10 or more points... scored 11 points on 4-4 shooting at home versus Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Feb. 15)... notched 11 points on 5-8 shooting against Longwood (Feb. 7)... grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds versus Huston - Tillotson (Jan. 19)... collected five or more boards on eight occasions... was named to the Academic All-Independent Team... recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average in both the fall and spring semester en route to earning Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges... cited as a Dean's List First Honors recipient in both semesters as well as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member... earned UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll laurels.
2003-04 [Sophomore Season]
Gooden saw action in all 28 games for the Lady Broncs while breaking into the starting lineup on seven occasions... posted a season-high 11 points against Marshall (Dec. 19), hitting 80 percent of her shots from the floor in that contest... scored at least five points in 14 games... recorded nine points and six rebounds in back-to-back games against Prairie View A&M (Feb. 9) and Louisiana - Lafayette (Feb. 16)... ranked second on the squad in blocked shots, third in rebounding and fifth in scoring... was only one of three players to recorded at least 100 total rebounds and one of two players to grab 40 or more offensive boards... grabbed a season-high eight rebounds at the UTPA Fieldhouse against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Jan. 24)... had 11 games with five or more rebounds during the season... finished the season with a .453 shooting percentage and made 50 percent of her shots 14 times during the season... accumulated a perfect 4.0 grade point average in both the fall and spring semester... garnered Dean's List First Honors and Bronc Pride 3.0 Club accolades in both semesters... selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2002-03 [Freshman Season]
Gooden finished her rookie campaign averaging 0.9 points and 1.0 rebounds per game for the Lady Broncs in 26 games... shot 43 percent from floor during the season... scored a season-high six points against Tulsa (Nov. 30)... posted four points versus Gonzaga (Dec. 5)... scored four points and grabbed four rebounds versus Eastern Washington (Dec. 6)... posted a 4.0 grade point average in both the fall and spring semester en route to earning Dean's List First Honors... earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors in each semester.
High School
In her final two seasons at J. Frank Dobie High School, Gooden was a two time all-district selection... was chosen as the program's Most Valuable Player as a senior... earned all-tournament laurels at the Pasadena Independent School District Tournament... earned both her team's Hustle and Trailblazer Awards... was an outstanding student, earning Academic All-State honors by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches... cited as a member of the National Honor Society... named a University Interscholastic League Scholar.
