LaQueisha Dickerson begins her second season with The University of Texas-Pan American women's basketball program and her first season as an assistant coach.
In her first season as assistant women's basketball coach, Dickerson will be responsible for the development of the Lady Broncs' forward and post position players. She will also supervise the academic progression of the student-athletes; assist with off-campus recruiting and the implementation of the Lady Broncs comprehensive plan for UTPA.
The newly-named assistant women's basketball coach spent the 2005-06 campaign as an assistant coach at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK, prior to coming to the Rio Grande Valley where she joined the Lady Broncs' staff as the Director of Basketball Operations.
A standout for Northern Oklahoma College during her playing days, Dickerson was selected as a pre-season candidate for the Bi-State West Conference Player of the Year. She finished up the season averaging 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game that campaign en route to garnering first team All-Region and first team All-Bi-State West Conference accolades.
Dickerson received her bachelor's degree in professional writing from Missouri State University in 2004. She is currently pursing her master's degree in education adminstration.
The newly-named assistant women's basketball coach officially began her duties with the Lady Broncs on June 4, 2007.
