The University of Texas-Pan American men's golf team finished in 16th place out of 20 teams at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, AZ on Tuesday (Apr. 8).
The Broncs recorded a team total of 866 while UC Davis (833), Grand Canyon (836), University of Idaho (839), Oregon State (839), and University of Utah (840) rounded off the top five spots.
Shane Pearce (Carrollton, TX/Hebron H.S.) finished tied for 56th place with a three-round score of 217 (73-71-73) while A.J. Gonzalez posted a 217 (76-70-71) tying for 56th overall.
Armen Kirakossian (Portland, OR/Wilson H.S.) finished tied for 70th place with a 54-hole score of 219 (72-73-74) while Kyle Tudi tied with teammate Kirakossian with a three-round tally of 219 (74-77-68).
Senior Jeff Hensley finished tied for 92nd place with a three-round score of 223 (72-75-76), respectively.
The Broncs will be back in action on Friday (May 9) when they compete at the National Minority Golf Championships in Port St. Lucie, FL.
