The University of Texas-Pan American men's golf team finished 11th out of 16 teams after one round of golf at the Braveheart Classic on Monday (Mar. 3).
The Broncs were unable to complete the two rounds of golf that was scheduled on Monday.
Two Broncs are currently tied for 18th place in Armen Kirakossian (Portland, OR/Wilson H.S.) who finished with a one round score of 79 (41-38) and senior Jeff Hensley (Van Horn, TX/ Van Horn H.S.) who collected an 18-hole score of 79 (42-37).
Shane Pearce (Carrollton, TX/Hebron H.S.) is currently tied for 28th overall with a one-round tally of 80 (38-42) while A.J. Gonzalez (Edcouch, TX/Edcouch-Elsa H.S.) recorded a 86 (45-41) and Tim Acaster (North Battleford, SK/Saskatchewan Provincial H.S) collected a one-round score of 90 (45-45) tying for 92nd place.
The Broncs finished with a team total of 324 while TCU (307), UC Riverside (309), Cal Pony (311), Kansas State University (314) and Gonzaga University (315) round off the top-five.
The Broncs will finish the tournament today with tee-off set for 8 a.m. at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, CA.
