The University of Texas-Pan American men's golf team was tied for 10th-place with UNC - Wilmington after the first two rounds of the Cavalier Classic hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday (Apr. 23).
The Broncs finished with a two-round score of 622 (302-320) and are currently only five shots back at a spot in ninth-place, which is held by the University of Richmond at 617. North Carolina State was in the top slot after day one of the Cavalier Classic while Virginia, William & Mary, Maryland and Furman all rounded out the top five.
Kyle Tudi (Phoenix, AZ/Chaparral H.S.) and Craig Berger (Wetaskiwin, Alberta Canada/Wetaskiwin Composite H.S.) were both the Broncs' top performers, shooting identical 154 (74-80) in the first two rounds of competition en route to tying for 23rd overall.
Jeff Hensley (Van Horn, TX/Van Horn H.S.) and Colin Norris (Calgary, Alberta, Canada/Cochrane H.S.) were both six shots back of their teammates at 160, which ties them for 48th overall. A.J. Hohn (Stockton, CA/Lodi H.S.) was tied in 56th with a score of 165 (87-78).
The Broncs will continue competition on Sunday (Apr. 24) in Charlottesville, VA, at the Cavalier Classic.
