"Overall, I was happy with the way we responded after a disappointing first round. We played well in the second round and improved by 16 strokes. Even though we are in 20th-place to start the third round, we are within striking distance of some teams," said head coach Drew Scott.
UTEP (564) holds a three-shot lead over Wyoming (567) and Drake University (567) while Utah and UC - Davis are both tied for fourth place at 570. The Broncs finished at 600 (308-292) through the first 36 holes of competition.
The Wyoming Cowboy Classic will conclude on Tuesday (Apr. 12) in Scottsdale, AZ.
