The University of Texas-Pan American men's golf team finished in 15th out of 17 teams at the Roadrunner Intercollegiate held at the Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, TX, on Tuesday (Mar. 1).
The Broncs, who finished with a total team score of 923 (316-304-303), were led by freshman A.J. Hohn (Stockton, CA/Lodi H.S.). The Stockton, CA, native was tied for 45th-place with a three-round total of 225 (75-73-77). Fellow freshman Jeff Hensley (Van Horn, TX/Van Horn H.S.) was tied for 61st with a score of 230 (80-77-73) while Kyle Tudi (Phoenix, AZ/Chaparral H.S.) finished tied for 77th at 237 (79-75-83).
Junior Craig Berger (Wetaskinwin, Alberta, Canada/Wetaskinwin Composite H.S.) wrapped up the Roadrunner Intercollegiate with a final round score of 75 to finish at 238 (82-81-75) and 79th at the tournament. Sophomore Colin Norris (Calgary, Alberta/Canada/Cochrane H.S.) was four spots behind in 83rd with a three-round total of 242 (85-79-78).
The University of Kansas captured the tournament championship with a total team score of 860 while Wichita State University (862), Baylor University (865), New Mexico State (866) and UT - San Antonio (869) rounded out the top five.
The Broncs will once again hit the links on Apr. 11-12 at the Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, AZ.
