High School
In his first season with the LaPorte High School basketball program, Trader guided the Bulldogs to a 25-8 record and a district runner-up finish during his senior campaign... selected as the Most Improved Player in District 23-5A that season... was a member of the Houston Lynx during the summer AAU season where he helped the squad captured a pair of tournament championships at the Great American Shootout and Ellis Davis Tournament... was a standout in the classroom where he was selected as a Texas Scholar Graduate... was a member of TRUTH (Athletes Against Drugs)... earned three letters at LaPorte High School - two in football and one in basketball.

Trader is the son of Shawn and Liz Trader... born on June 22, 1988... has one brother - Zach - who is a junior on the UTPA men's basketball team... majoring in business management and accounting.
