Franklin comes to the Rio Grande Valley after a stellar career at Flint Northwestern High School where he was selected to the All-State Class "C" and All-State Class "B" selections in his final two campaigns wit the Wildcats... led the city in scoring in his final two seasons after averaging 18.2 points and 17.2 points per game during his senior and junior seasons... garnered all-city first team honors in each of his final three seasons with the Wildcats... earned all-area first team honors as a junior and senior... cited as the Optimist Club Male Athlete of the Year during his senior season... selected as the Bruin Club Classic All-Star Game Most Valuable Player as a senior... selected as the Most Valuable Player for the Flint Northwestern High School program during his final two seasons... competed with the Flint Affiliation and Michigan Hurricanes during his AAU career... graduated from Flint Northwestern High School with a 3.7 cumulative grade point average en route to earning an Academic Honor Roll Award.
