2005-06 [Junior Season]
Edwards finished his inaugural season with the Broncs as the team's third leading scorer, averaging 9.3 points per game with a total of 287 points in 31 games... started 20 games as a junior and appeared in every game the Broncs played... scored a career-high 25 points against Monterrey Tech (Jan. 10), connecting on 8-17 shots from the field and 9-14 shots from the charity stripe... scored 20 in the following game against Northern Colorado (Jan. 14) where he finished 8-15 from the floor and 4-4 from the free throw... scored 22 points against IPFW (Mar. 1) in the season finale where he connected on a career-high nine field goals... recorded a pair of double-doubles (points-rebounds) during the season, including a 17-point, 13-rebound performance at the UTPA Fieldhouse against Texas A&M-International (Feb. 2)... notched his second double-double of the season in the following game against St. Edward's (Feb. 4) with an 11-point, 13-rebound performance... recorded 12 double-digit scoring performances throughout his junior campaign... collected 10 or more points in three consecutive games twice during the season... led the Broncs in scoring on seven occasions and rebounding four times during the season... added 15 points, including 7-10 from the free throw line, and seven rebounds on the road at Northern Colorado (Jan. 30)... scored 12 points versus Texas Tech (Dec. 10), including a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line in that contest... notched 13 points and eight rebounds on the road at the University of Texas at San Antonio (Dec. 5)... led the team with 27 blocked shots, which were three times as many as any other member of the Broncs' squad that season... ranked second on the team with 124 rebounds while his 4.0 rebounds per game listed him third on the squad... finished the third-best field goal percentage on the team, connecting on 42.6 percent of his shots... played a career-high 35 minutes against South Dakota State (Feb. 11)... averaged 23.3 minutes per evening as a junior for the Broncs.
2003-05 [Western Nebraska Community College]
Edwards comes to the Rio Grande Valley from Western Nebraska Community College where he averaged 3.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game... appeared in 32 games en route to helping the Cougars to a 28-5 record, including a trip to the finals of the Region IX Tournament... was a part of a Cougar squad that ranked first in the nation for over month and possessed a perfect 24-0 record before dropping their first contest... captured the Region IV Championship in his first season with team.
High School
A product of Bridgeport Central High School, Edwards was ranked as a Super 15 prospect among the state of Connecticut... earned All-State and All-FICA honors following his senior campaign... was part of a Hilltoppers' squad that earned a trip to the state finals and a pair of appearances in the state semifinals... captured the state championship twice during the summer months with his AAU squad... was part of an AAU program that finished seventh and 11th in the nation.
