2006 [Sophomore Season]
The UTPA sophomore posted a 232 batting average with 22 hits, including nine doubles and two home runs, to go along with 19 RBI and 19 runs scored... collected a .389 slugging percentage and .382 on-base percentage during his sophomore season... finished with three hits, including a pair of doubles, to go along with five RBI and two runs scored against Dallas Baptist (Mar. 11)... recorded two hits, including a home runs, and two runs scored and one RBI on the road at Birmingham-Southern (Apr. 9)... notched two hits, two RBI and one run scored at Stephen F. Austin (Apr. 19)... scored three runs to go along with one hit and one RBI on the road at Texas Southern (May 2).
2005 [Freshman Season]
Smith saw action in 41 games where he earned 28 starts during his freshman season... posted a .204 batting average and led the Broncs with four home runs while recorded 18 RBI and 14 runs scored in 98 at-bats... selected as the Independent Newcomer of the Week after posting a 3-for-4 performance against Oral Roberts (Mar. 19) with two home runs and four RBI... finished with a .367 slugging percentage and .277 on-base percentage during his rookie campaign.
Sanger High School
Smith earned first team all-district honors as a senior at Sanger High School... selected as the Offensive Most Valuable Player as he saw 13 of his 27 hits go for extra bases to go along with a .811 slugging percentage... recorded a .509 batting average during his junior season with a .600 on-base percentage... selected as the Newcomer of the Year at Sanger High School during his freshman season... competed with the Arlington Wizards' during the summer months that traveled all over Texas and Florida... competed in basketball, track and field and cross country during his prep career.

Smith is the son of Rodney Smith and Mike and Laura Vinson... born on May 13, 1985... has three brothers - Ryan, Ray and Houston - and one sister - Sarah... majoring in kinesiology.
