  • Natalie Haime (Women's Golf) represented UTPA at the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL.
  • Gooden earned the Ann LaMantia Award for the UTPA female student-athlete with the highest grade point average.
  • Otis Powers was honored with the Lou Hassel Award for the UTPA male student-athlete with the highest grade point average.
  • Melissa Uriegas (Women's Golf) was awarded with the State Farm Insurance/PGA Minority College Golf Scholarship.
  • Karen Lyons and Stephanie Redd were selected to the 2005 Academic All-Independent Women's Volleyball Team.
